As the Customer you understand and agree to the following Terms of purchase outlined to you below before purchasing a product from Wood Wizards Buildings Ltd.
All orders are subject to a 50% deposits being paid prior to us starting production on your order. Deposit payments are STRICTLY NON REFUNDABLE.
The remaining balance of your order MUST be paid in full 7 days prior to delivery.
Completion times will range from building to building BUT we do aim to complete and install/deliver within 10 to 12 weeks of placing the order.
As mentioned above, the deposit payment of 50% is NON REFUNDABLE and this is due to each order being manufactured to an individual customers specification and requirements. We do however offer a refund policy which is usually 50% of the full balance minus any re-delivery charges and our 10% restocking charge.
At present, there is a National Shortage of building materials including most timber products so we reserve the right to extend the lead times accordingly. If we do extend lead/manufacturing times, we will notify you by email, phone or post to let you know. We will only ever extend lead times if we have no other means to fulfil your order in the allocated time. National shortages of building materials including timber our outside of our control.
You are aware and have been advised that the base should be a FLAT AND LEVEL concrete OR Solid wood (Decking) base and accept that if you choose to use any other material or if the base is not flat and level that we Wood Wizards are not liable for any movement within the building structure if deemed to be as a direct result of the base not being suitable.
We cannot cover against water ingress under extreme weather conditions such as government warned storms, hurricanes and other acts of god. Wood is a natural product and will try to absorb moisture so anything you can do to help prevent this after delivery will help as there is only so much we can do at manufacture stage. Regular treatment of the wood is a must to prevent this happening and even the highest-grade treatments will wear off over time.
Regarding roofing material this can only protect so much just as with sheds and other garden buildings Felt and felt shingles may not withstand EXTREME weather conditions so may need replacing over time unfortunately we do not cover under ADVERSE weather conditions as described above so any damage done under government warned storms, Extreme winds, hurricanes etc will NOT be covered by Wood Wizards as the guarantee only covers the building construction and manufacture where applicable, and only covers faults due to a manufacturing fault and or assembly fault IF performed by our assembly team.
We offer a guarantee with all of our Shingle and EPDM roofs but we cannot guarantee any timber finish roof.
Once the building is delivered, our guarantee starts. This will promptly end if a building is moved again from its originally sited position. If delivery cannot be made due to access issues or one of our buildings is placed on any base other that a flat and level concrete pad, no guarantee will stand.
Wood is a natural product and will react to changes in temperature, natural shakes in timber and cracks from drying out can happen. When using heaters in buildings this will cause boards to expand and contract more than usual, therefore over time within the roof especially this may cause the roof felt to stretch and in some extreme circumstances can incur small leaks.
For the interior you should only use appropriate paints. Only use Paint or treatments that can let the wood breath when applied to the interior.
Delivery and installation costs are NON REFUNDABLE
You are aware that the team WILL NOT deliver any product if the product must be delivered over any form of out building or any other building structures, the team WILL NOT deliver items through houses due to health and safety and insurance purposes. Due to the weight and length of some of the wood pieces there needs to be adequate space for them to manoeuvre these to the assembly area. IF THE AREA IS DEEMED TO BE UNSAFE DELIVERY AND ASSEMBLY CAN BE ABANDONED SHOULD THE TEAM NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE OR SAFE DOING SO.
Deliveries WILL require the homeowner to be present until the building is completed unless otherwise agreed prior to delivery.
In extreme circumstances, our delivery and assembly team reserve the right to refuse delivery should they deem it to be unsafe to do so e.g. verbal abuse/threatening behaviour.
In the event that delivery is not possible due to misinformation being given by our customers, the pod can be re-delivered back to our depot and the re-delivery charge is fully payable by the customer. We will hold all buildings at our depot for a maximum of 30 days at no additional charge however, If the building is not collected/delivered after this time, Wood Wizards Buildings Ltd will charge the customer £125.00+VAT per week for storage of the building.
In relation to plumbing inside our pods, all water pipework is installed by a qualified plumber. After plumbing installations are complete, the entire system is pressure tested to 3Bar for a minimum of 8Hrs. Once the pod leaves our depot and is being transported, Wood Wizards cannot accept any liability for any water leaks found after installation due to possible transporting movement.
In relation to interior doors, these are fitted by qualified fitters at our warehouse. As explained above, timber is a natural product and thus will expand/contract due to temperature fluctuations. We always allow extra expansion space when fitting our doors and this prevents doors binding and assists with temperature fluctuations/movement however, if doors are found to bind, swell, lift or drop after installation, Wood Wizards will not be held accountable as this could be down to temperature fluctuations or movement of the building during transport.
In relation to PVCu / UPVc French Doors/Window(s), these are adjusted by our installation team at our warehouse so they open/close and deadlock/lock without any binding or catching. Once the building is transported to its new location, the doors may move and may require further adjustment on site. Wood Wizards are not responsible for adjusting the doors after the building has left our warehouse however, we will give as much advice and instruction as to how to adjust the doors to resolve any issues.
In relation to moisture, Wood Wizards use dry timber and all of our buildings are manufactured in a dry and heated workshop. We also fit trickle vents to our windows and doors and breather vents in the ceiling boards to allow air to pass through all major components of the building. Wood Wizards cannot accept any liability for moisture build up due to the building not being allowed to breath due to poor installation of the building. Areas away from sunlight and damp conditions may affect the building and moisture can develop if vents are blocked or unable to allow a good air flow.
Wood Wizards believe in equal rights and will maintain upmost professionalism and courtesy/conduct at all times. Any refused deliveries will incur a re-delivery fee for having to make a second delivery attempt or will be left kerbside at Wood Wizards discretion, if redelivery option cannot be resolved.
I understand that buildings and roof coverings will not be covered under acts of nature including but not limited to earth movement i.e Earthquakes, Storms (including but not limited to government warned storms or floods), Hurricanes etc.
We recommend that all branches, bushes and other obstacles must be kept away from direct contact to the building to avoid any leaf or tree sap getting onto the building and corroding the wood.
When assembled it is advisable to maintain regular airing out of the building via open windows or doors when possible to avoid the build up of condensation, alternatively using a small heater or de-humidifier will be adequate to prevent this. These buildings are airtight and with fluctuations in temperature will naturally develop condensation this is not uncommon with any timber building that is left locked up for long periods of time. Condensation may cause mould, so it is advisable to keep the building aired out and dry.
If a Wood Wizards building such as a Glamping pod is going to used as sleeping accommodation the customer may need to acquire the correct planning permission. This is solely the customers responsibility.
